1 Methodology

This chapter describes the methodology used for constructing the catalogue in this work. Section 1.1 defines the scope of the work, § 1.2 reviews existing literature, § 1.3 describes the pattern selection process and name resolution, § 1.3.1 details their categorisation and § 1.4 outlines the chosen structure of the individual patterns.
